After tossing five scoreless innings to lead the Lycoming baseball team to a win over Marymount, junior Alex Halbert has earned his first career Warrior of the Week award. Halbert extended his season-opening scoreless innings streak to nine by tossing five frames, allowing just four hits and striking out five to help the Warriors to a 1-0 seven-inning win over the Saints. Halbert (1-0) navigated a pair of singles in the second and side-stepped a one-out double in the fifth.

Halbert is 1-0 this season, striking out five in nine innings, holding batters to a .167 average. He is 4-3 in his career with a 3.78 ERA, striking out 41 in 52 1/3 innings.
