WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senior Ava Daly (Camp Hill, Pa. / Bishop McDevitt) scored her second goal of the season for the Lycoming College field hockey team, which fell, 5-1, in a Landmark Conference match to the Catholic University of America on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Carlini Field.
Daly gave Lycoming (3-5) an early lead when she broke through just over eight minutes into the contest. That wound up as the only score of the first half as Lycoming went into the locker room with the lead.
Catholic (3-5) scored four goals in the third period and added a final tally in the forth
Daly pocked her second goal of the season, while junior Hillary Clark (Wilmington, Del. / John Dickinson) made 12 saves for the Warriors.
Molly Romano scored twice for the Cardinals, who also received goals from Kira Sobian, Hope Wagner, and Sophia Sullivan.
The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 3, when they host Drew University in a Landmark Conference matchup. The match will get underway at 1 p.m., at UPMC Field.
