WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Three players swept both doubles and singles action as the Lycoming College women's tennis team earned their second consecutive win, defeating Houghton University, 5-2, in non-conference action on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Brandon Park.

Lycoming (2-0) won their first two matches of the season for the first time since 2024, taking two doubles matches and four singles tilts over Houghton (0-7).

In doubles action, junior Sadie Stahl (Duboistown, Pa.) and first year Emma Dubnansky (New Market, Md. / Oakdale) roared out to a 5-0 lead on their way to a 6-2 triumph in No. 1 doubles, while first year Agi Gecsey (Budd Lake, N.J. / Mount Olive) and junior Reyna Kirick (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg Area) won their No. 3 doubles match by an identical 6-2 count.

In singles action, Dubnansky posted a No. 2 singles win 6-4, 6-4, Gecsey took No. 4 singles 6-4, 6-2, and Kirick was victorius in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-4. In the match of the day, first year Annalyse Marucci (Reinholds, Pa. / Cocalico) came back from a first set defeat to win 4-6, 6-2, 11-9 in a superset tiebreaker at No. 5.

The Warriors will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 18, when they hit the road to take on Penn State-Altoona. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
