WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Sophomore Tre Lesperance (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) posted the Lycoming College golf team's second eagle of the season to highlight the team's second-place finish in a tri-meet with the University of Scranton and King's College on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the par-70, 6,178-yard Wyoming Valley Country Club.
 
The Warriors finished with a 35-over-par 315, 10 strokes ahead of King's College, but behind Scranton, which posted a 4-under-par team round of 276.
 
Lesperance finished sixth with a 3-over-par 73, eagling the par-5, 532-yard No. 12 and also posting a birdie on the par-5, 508-yard No. 11. He also added 10 pars in the round.
 
Sophomore Hill Meserve (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) turned in a 5-over-par 75, posting 13 pars in his round to go with five bogeys. Sophomore Colby Seiler (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) added a 9-over-par 81, birdieing the par-4, 340-yard No. 16, and both seniors Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) and Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) fired an 86 for the final score for the team.
 
Marshall Kain and Richard Essen of Scranton tied for medalist honors at 2-under-par 68.
 
The Warriors next head to the Cardinal Classic for 36 holes at Black Rock Golf Club starting on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m.
