CARLISLE, Pa. – With a pair of two-over-par 74s from sophomore
Tre Lesperance (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) and senior
Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) leading the way, the Lycoming College golf team tied its program record for best team score in a single round with a 304 at the par-72, 6,670-yard Carlisle Barracks Golf Course on Sunday, Sept. 6.

The Warriors finished the first day of the tournament in 17
th place in the field of 24 teams thanks to the 304. Gettysburg leads the tournament after carding a 3-under-par 285. Dickinson's Landon Mauser has a one-stroke card after carding a 66 in the opening round.                                                                                                                                                         Â
Kicking off the season, Lesperance carded a 3-over-par 39 on the front nine before shooting a 1-under-par 35 on the back, birdying the par-4, 408-yard No. 14 and the par-5, 570-yard No. 17. Shanahan had five birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey in his round, as both finished tied for 30
th in a field of 137.

Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) posted a 5-over-par 77 after a 1-over-par 37 on the front nine. After a double and a triple bogey on back-to-back homes, Eberz eagled the par-4, 278-yard No. 16 and added a birdie on No. 17.

Sophomore
Colby Seiler (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) rounded out the scoring four with a 7-over-par 79. His round included a birdie on No. 16.

Hill Meserve (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) carded an 81 and sophomore
Ryan Ault (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) had an 83.
