SHAWNEE-ON-DELAWARE, Pa. – Junior
Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) and first-year
Colby Seiler (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) finished the first round at the Landmark Conference Championship with 82s to lead the Lycoming College golf team, which posted a first-day 334 at the par-72, 6-275 yard Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort on a rainy Saturday, April 25.
The performance was the best for Lycoming at the Landmark Conference Championship since joining the league in 2023-24, as Eberz and Seiler led the Warrior contingent by sitting 30
th in the 50-player field. Eberz had two birdies, on the par-4, 442-yard No. 9 and the par-4, 357-yard No. 17. Seiler birdied the par-4, 360-yard No. 12.
Drew leads the tournament with a first-round 301 and Goucher's Riley Ruby and Drew's Elliot Parker lead the individuals after an even-par first round.
First-year
Hill Meserve (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) is tied for 37
th after a 12-over-par 84 and first-year
Tre Lesperance (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) rounded out the scoring four with a 14-over-par 86. Junior
Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) was 20-over-par on the first day.
The Warriors tee off beginning at 7:57 a.m., with the last Warrior, Eberz due to tee off at 8:42 a.m., on Sunday, April 26.
