WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — After hitting a career-best three field goals and setting a Landmark Conference standard for longest field goal, Lycoming College sophomore kicker Vasco Granitto (Dover, Del. / Polytech) earned Landmark Conference Football Specialist of the Week honors, the conference office announced on Monday, Oct. 19.
In a 42-7 win over Juniata, Granitto knocked through a 20-yard field goal in the first quarter, followed by a 31-yard boot midway through the third quarter, and a record-setting 46-yard kick in the waning seconds of the third quarter. He also connected on all three extra-point tries, scoring a total of 12 points in the contest, also a career high.
Granitto became the first Lycoming kicker to hit three field goals in a game since Ian Plankenhorn in 2023, while his 46-yard kick tied for the fourth-longest in school history and is the furthest made field goal since Lycoming Hall of Famer Rusty Fricke drilled two kicks from beyond 50 yards during the 1984 season.
Granitto is 5-for-7 on field goal tries this year, including a successful 42-yarder at Wilkes a week prior, and a perfect 21-for-21 in extra-point attempts. He leads the conference in field goal makes, including the two longest kicks in the Landmark this season, and is second in extra points and tied for second in total points scored (36). He earned Honorable Mention All-Landmark Conference honors in 2025.
Granitto is the second Warrior to earn Landmark Conference weekly honors this year, joining junior defensive back Aiden Barlett (Hughesville, Pa. / Hughesville), who also took home Specialist of the Week accolades on Sept. 14.
The Warriors welcome Western Connecticut State to Girardi Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 24, for another key Landmark Conference game at 1 p.m.
