WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Lycoming College men's and women's soccer teams both repeated as winners of the College Team Academic Award given by the United Soccer Coaches.
The Warriors' programs were two of nearly 800 college soccer programs across all divisions nationwide who earned the honor, which requires a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Lycoming was one of 187 schools who had both their men's and women's soccer programs earn the award for the 2025-26 academic year.
In their ninth season under head coach Kenny Fern, the Warriors women's soccer program backed up a program-best 17-2-1 season by earning the award for a 10th time. This is the sixth time that the Warriors have earned the Team Academic Award during Fern's tenure, including the third consecutive season. The academic achievements were highlighted by six CSC Academic All-District Team selections and 15 players landing on the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.
On the men's side, head coach John Schwein's squad earned recognition from the USC for the sixth time in program history. The men's soccer program boasted a trio of CSC Academic All-District honorees as well as seven members of the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.
