WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Junior
Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) recorded her second career hat trick to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team over Buffalo State, 7-5, in a nonconference matchup on Saturday, Sept. 23, at UPMC Field.
Lycoming (3-3) scored four of their seven goals in the second half and finished with 18 shots, including 11 on goal. The team recorded a season-high seven goals and the 12 combined goals were the most for the program in one game since 2017. Magee became the fourth Warrior to reach 30 career goals in the game and finished the game third in school history with 31 scores.

Norah Mosley (Robbinsville, N.J. / Allentown) opened the scoring in the 19th minute, scoring directly off the second of back-to-back corner kicks. Mikayla Long (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) and Magee at 31:43 for a 3-1 lead. The Bengals pulled one back at 32:49, but the Warriors reached halftime ahead 3-2.
Buffalo State pulled even at 3-3 four minutes after halftime, but senior
Mia Chapman (Mount Carmel, Pa. / Mount Carmel Area) scored off assists from Long and Mosley at 66:16 to regain the lead. The Warriors responded quickly after Buffalo State tied the match two minutes later at 4-4, with Magee scoring off free kicks at 70:39 and again at 74:37 to put the Warriors ahead 6-4. Sophomore
Amelia Nieman (East Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg) added a goal from Chapman at 84:36, and the Warriors finished with a 7-5 win after Buffalo State scored once more late.
Magee recorded the first hat trick by a Warrior this season and also added an assist. Chapman scored once and assisted once, while Long tallied two assists. Mosley finished with a goal and an assist and Born and Nieman each tallied their first goal of the season.
Riley Stevenson and Lilly Jaroszewski each scored twice and Kaylee Lockwood added a goal for Buffalo State. Makenzie Below recorded two assists.
