OSWEGO, N.Y. – A run of six straight wins, all of the bonus-point variety, helped the Lycoming College wrestling team cap its 2025-26 regular season with a 36-11 win over SUNY Oswego on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Laker Hall.
Down 11-6 through the first four matches, the Warriors (9-4 overall) rolled off six straight wins to account for the last 30 points in the match. Senior 157-pounder
Kobin Karper (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) started the run with a major decision, junior 165-pounder
Kaiden Wagner (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) added a tech fall, junior 174-pounder
Nolen Zeigler (Loysville, Pa./West Perry) added a major decision, senior 184-pounder
Eli Crum (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) posted a second-period pin of regionally-ranked Avery Canzano for his 99
th career win and junior 197-pounder
Ivan Neal (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Central) also added a technical fall before a forfeit gave the Warriors the win at heavyweight.
Junior
Bobby Gardner (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) won his 13
th straight match to get the Warriors on the board, pinning his opponent at 133 pounds in 1:03.
Oswego (1-13 overall) won bouts at 125, 141 and 149 pounds, with regionally-ranked wrestlers at the two former weight classes combining for eight of the team's 11 points.
The Warriors take next weekend off to prepare for the NCAA Region 2 Qualifier, which begins at Ithaca College at 10 a.m., on Friday, Feb. 27.
