Warriors picked tenth in Landmark Preseason Poll

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Lycoming College men's tennis team was picked 10th in the Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Defending champion Goucher earned the first-place nod, along with five first place votes. They narrowly edged out Catholic (two first place votes) and Moravian (three first place votes). Drew was close behind in fourth, with Juniata and Susquehanna behind them. Scranton, Wilkes, Elizabethtown, and Lycoming rounded out the poll.

Last fall, the Warriors claimed a pair of non-conference victories to get the season underway, finishing the fall with a 2-3 record. Sophomore Kayvan Shams (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) led the team with a 4-1 record through the fall.

Lycoming will begin their spring slate on Friday, March 20 with a road non-conference tilt against Houghton, which will get underway at 3 p.m.
