WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A trio of players won singles matches for the Lycoming College men's tennis team, which fell, 4-3, on Senior Day in a non-conference match to McDaniel College on Friday, April 24 at Brandon Park.
Sophomore Kayvan Shams (Williamsport, Pa. / South Williamsport) breezed to a 6-2, 6-0 win in No. 2 singles over Connor Neal, then sophomore Logan Hammond (Williamsport, Pa. / Loyalsock Township) won in No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-4 over Sylvan Eichenlaub. Finally in No. 6 singles, junior Keegan Gill (Northumberland, Pa. / Meadowbrook Christian) gutted out a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Hunter Turlington.Â
Seniors James Kershner (Hughesville, Pa. / Hughesville), Josh Neidert (Reading, Pa. / Oley Valley), and Luke Taylor (Williamsport, Pa. / Word of Life Bible Institute) also played their final matches for the Warriors.Â
The Warriors wrap up their fourth season under head coach Joel Reid with a 3-14 record and 0-9 mark in Landmark Conference play.
