BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore
Kayvan Shams (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) won his matches at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles to lead the Lycoming College men's tennis team, which fell to Moravian University, 6-1, in the Landmark Conference opener for both teams on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 21, at Freedom High School's Tennis Courts.

Shams teamed with sophomore
Logan Hammond (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) to post a 6-3 win over Ryan Burke and Matthew Labosky before he posted a  6-1, 1-6, 10-8 superset tiebreaker win over Burke.

The Warriors fell to 0-2 and 0-1 in league play. Moravian is 2-0 and 1-0 in Landmark play.

The Warriors are back in action on Thursday, Sept. 25, when they host King's College at 3 p.m., at Brandon Park.
