Box Score WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - First-year Yeanneth Rosado (Temple, Pa. / Muhlenberg) won her No. 6 singles match as the Lycoming College women's tennis team fell, 6-1, in Landmark Conference action against Wilkes University on Thursday afternoon, April 24.
Rosado posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Wilkes' Emma Sanford in No. 6 singles, securing a point for Lycoming.
In No. 1 doubles, first-year Sadie Stahl (Duboistown, Pa. / South Williamsport) and senior Sarah Lanphear (Chittenango, N.Y. / Chittenango) teamed up in a close 7-5 victory against Wilkes' Tea Amerise and Sydney Farmer.
Lanphear rallied in a close No. 2 singles match against Julia Spaeth, winning the first set 6-1 before falling 6-3 in both the second and third sets.
Junior Greta Kimble (South Williamsport, Pa. / South Williamsport) played a tight No. 3 singles match against Kensington Edmond, falling 6-4 in the first set and 6-2 in the second set.
The Warrior women fell to 8-8 overall and 0-8 in the Landmark Conference. The Colonels improved to 8-8 overall and 3-5 in the Landmark Conference.
The Warriors return to Brandon Park on Friday, April 25, to compete in Landmark Conference action against the Catholic University of America.
