SCRANTON, Pa. – The last three flights of singles emerged victorious for the Lycoming College men's tennis team, as it narrowly fell to the University of Scranton, 4-3, in Landmark Conference play on Thursday afternoon, April 17, at Royal Courts.

Kayvan Shams (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) posted a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles and senior
Mohamed Ebeid (Cairo, Egypt/Egyptian British International) added a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5. The team also got a win by forfeit at No. 6 singles.

Shams and first-year
Logan Hammond (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) had a narrow loss at No. 3 doubles, 7-5, which clinched the point for the Royals.

The Warriors fell to 0-13 overall and 0-6 in the Landmark Conference. Scranton improved to 4-10 overall and 2-4 in the Landmark.

The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, April 23, when they host Juniata College at Brandon Park at 3 p.m.
