WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior
Danny DeLucas (Whittier, Calif./La Serna) had four hits and a RBI to lead the Lycoming College baseball team, which outhit the University of Scranton, but fell 4-3, in Landmark Conference action at Brandon Park on Saturday afternoon, April 12.

Nick Hoheb (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) finished 2-for-3 with a run and junior
A.J. Llorente (Williamsport, Pa./Montoursville Area) added a ground-rule double.

Scranton (12-11 overall, 8-5 Landmark) rallied with three runs in the fourth to get on the scoreboard first, using three singles, a walk and a hit batter. In the fifth, a ground-rule double and a two-out infield hit gave the Royals a 4-0 lead.

Lycoming (15-14 overall, 7-7 Landmark) got on the scoreboard in the seventh, as Llorente's ground-rule double over the 390-foot sign in center field started the inning. He moved to third on a groundout and scored on a wild pitch. Hoheb singled with one out, moved to third on a single by senior
Evan Mok (Daly City, Calif./St. Ignatius) and scored on a two-out single from DeLucas.

In the ninth, Hoheb led off with a walk. After a fielder's choice and a walk, DeLucas loaded the bases with a single before a sac fly from sophomore
Sean Perkins (Berlin, N.J./Eastern Regional) made it a one-run game. Junior
Brody Lindsey (Monrovia, Md./DeMatha Catholic) hit the next ball hard down the line, but third-baseman Jake Elston made the stab and stepped on third for the last out of the game.

Jared Cassella was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI and Jake Lopez was 2-for-3 with a RBI to lead the Royals.

Mason Fischer (3-0) earned the win with six scoreless innings to start the game, allowing four hits and two walks, striking out seven. Sophomore
Alex Halbert (Laurel, Md./Atholton) (1-2) allowed four hits and three runs in 3 2/3 innings. He struck out two. Junior
Landon Evans (Millville, Pa./Millville) tossed 4 1/3 innings of hitless relief, allowing only a walk. He also struck out two.
