SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Senior
Danny DeLucas (Whittier, Calif./La Serna) led the Lycoming College baseball team with five hits, two runs and a RBI as it fell in a Landmark Conference doubleheader to Susquehanna University, 9-5 and 12-2, at Bollinger Field on Saturday afternoon, March 22.

In the first game, DeLucas had four hits, two runs and a RBI to pace a 13-hit attack from the Warriors (9-9 overall, 1-2 Landmark), as it fell victim to a pair of three-run innings from the River Hawks (10-6 overall, 3-1 Landmark).

Junior
Brody Lindsey (Monrovia, Md./DeMatha Catholic) was 3-for-5 with a run, sophomore
Sean Perkins (Berlin, N.J./Eastern Regional) was 2-for-4 with a run and sophomore
Eric MacCluen (Downingtown, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) was 2-for-4 with three RBI in the game for the Warriors.

The Warriors scored twice in the first, with DeLucas singling to center with one out before Lindsey singled, setting up an RBI single from junior
A.J. Llorente (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville). Perkins followed with a single to load the bases before MacCluen had a sac fly.

Down 5-2 in the third, the Warriors got a pair of runs back to close within a run. DeLucas singled to lead off and Perkins walked with two outs before a wild pitch advanced the runners, setting up a two-RBI single from MacCluen.

Down 9-4 in the sixth, the Warriors got their last run when senior
Evan Mok (Daly City, Calif./St. Ignatius) doubled with two outs, took third on a wild pitch and scored on a single by DeLucas.

Lucas Zachesky paced the River Hawks, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Junior
Jake Wilber (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) (3-2) pitched two innings, allowing three hits, three walks and five runs. He struck out two. Zach Plank (2-1) earned the win for the River Hawks, tossing 4 1/3 innings of relief, allowing seven hits and one run.

An eight-run second inning for Susquehanna broke open the second game, as it notched a 12-2, run-rule shortened win.

Down 11-0, the Warriors scored twice in the fifth, as Perkins singled to lead off, moved to second on a one-out sacrifice and scored on a double from Mok, who scored on a single from first-year
Tyler Wetzel (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville).

Michael Gagliardi was 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a double to pace the River Hawks.

Mason Drozal (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) (1-2) tossed one-inning, allowing a hit and no earned runs. He walked two. Jack Greco (4-1) threw a complete-game six hitter, allowing two runs and striking out seven.

The Warriors wrap up the three-game set with the River Hawks at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 23 at Bollinger Field.
