Andrew Ednie (Farmingville, N.Y. / Sachem East) found himself open on the weak side for the game-winning goal with 17 seconds left to break the last one and lift the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team to a come-from-behind 16-15 victory over King's College (Pa.) in non-conference action on Wednesday evening, March 19, at McCarthy Stadium.

Sean Farrell (Allentown, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) also added three goals and six assists while joining Hoover in the 100-point club with the last assist on the goal from Ednie, becoming the 22nd player in school history to reach the mark.

In the second minute of the fourth quarter, Ednie scored a goal that tied the game at 12, and Hoover followed 30 seconds later to bring Lycoming to 13, which was a lead the team held for three minutes. King's turned around to match Lycoming's efforts in the fifth minute, tying the game at 13. With 6:10 remaining, Hoover darted down the field and launched the ball to the back of the cage, bringing the score to 14-13. The Monarchs followed up with a man-up goal in the 11th minute, matching the Warriors' score for the eighth time, and took the lead with less than three minutes to play. With 2:00 left on the clock, Farrell passed the ball to Wooley, who sidewinded a shot in to keep the Warriors in contention. Ednie rounded the net, and Farrell found him through the sliding defense. Hoover kicked off Lycoming's scoring in the first quarter after he posted a goal in the second minute, helping establish an early lead for the Warriors (3-2 overall). With 2:22 on the clock, Hoover followed up with a man-up goal, which Farrell assisted. The Warriors maintained a man-up advantage as Hoover pushed down the field for his third goal of the quarter with 1:56 remaining. The Warriors ended the period with a 3-1 lead.

The Warriors reclaimed their lead in the second minute of the third quarter, when Hoover darted around King's defense to secure his sixth goal of the night, which was assisted by Farrell. Ten seconds later, Farrell secured a goal of his own, and he returned in the sixth minute for another, bringing the Warriors to a three-point advantage, 11-8. The Monarchs bounced back to secure a one-point lead, 12-11, after going on a four-goal streak.

Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa. / Emmaus) saved 14 shots in the cage for the Warriors, giving him 789 saves in his career, 11 from becoming the 36th player in Division III history to reach 800 career saves. Ryan Rickards served as the goalkeeper for King's, saving 12 shots.
Ryan Lynch had four goals, and John Wall added three and an assist to lead King's (0-6 overall). Ben Spencer also contributed two goals and two assists. Ryan Dolphin posted four caused turnovers, and Matt Dellapi snagged nine ground balls.
The Warriors return to UPMC Field on Saturday, March 22, to play against the Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference action at 1 p.m.
