Warriors compete at NCAA Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sophomore 174-pounder Nolen Zeigler (Loysville, Pa./West Perry) and senior 125-pounder Kaden Majcher (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) each won a match to highlight the Lycoming College wrestling team's appearance at the 2025 NCAA Division III Championships at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday, March 14, 2025.

The Warriors' three qualifiers, which also included sophomore 165-pounder Kaiden Wagner (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area), helped the team finish 46th out of the 75 competing schools.

Zeigler fell in the All-American round and finished the tournament amongst the top 12 in the nation, thanks to a consolation round 3 win by major decision over Roanoke's Xavier Preston, 11-0. He took sixth-seeded Dejon Glaster of Milliken to the wire in his opening match, getting a first-period takedown and leading 4-1 at the end of the second period, but Glaster had a reversal and takedown in the third to edge out a 6-5 win. Eighth-seeded Javen Estrada pinned Zeigler in the round of 12.

Zeigler finished his first season with the Warriors with a 32-6 record.

Majcher, the Region 2 Qualifier champion, opened the tournament with a tech fall setback against top-seeded Joziah Fry of Johnson & Wales. He rebounded with a pin of Pacific's Thomas Turner in the second period and led Wis.-Whitewater's eighth-seeded Jalen Dunson, 5-0 after the first period and 7-3 at the end of the second, but Dunson got two third-period takedowns, tying the match at nine at the end of regulation and scoring a takedown in the overtime period for the 12-9 win.

A three-time regional placewinner, Majcher is sixth in school history with a 116-31 career record.

Wagner dropped a major decision to the sixth-seed in his opening match before Cornell's Brian Petry won, 10-4, in the consolation bracket. Wagner finished the season with an 11-4 record.
