Hayden Pardoe (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) posted 25 points and 10 rebounds and junior
Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) added 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists to lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, but Juniata College was able to overcome a late second-half deficit to post an 81-79 win in overtime at the Memorial Gymnasium on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Ivan Komitski (Sofia, Bulgaria/Lee Academy) notched eight points, eight rebounds and four assists and first-year
Princeton Layton (Katy, Texas/Katy Paetow) added 12 points.

Up by three at halftime, the Warriors led for the opening two minutes of the second half, before a jumper from Juniata gave it a one-point lead. The Warriors tied the game at 44 but Juniata led 54-47 with 12:04 left before Layton hit a layup and a 3-pointer to spark a 17-5 run capped by a 3-pointer from Valentine with 5:55 left that made it 64-59. Moments later, a free throw from Komitski gave Lycoming a 72-64 left and free throws from Valentine with 1:40 left gave Lycoming a 74-68 lead, but Juniata scored the final six points of the half, with a jumper from Hardy tying the game with two seconds remaining.

Juniata scored seven of the first nine points in overtime before sophomore
Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) hit a 3-pointer with 1:01 left. After a defensive stop, the Warriors had an open look for three to win it, but the shot fell off the back of the rim.

The two teams battled within three points of each other for the first 13 and a half minutes of the game before Pardoe and Shanahan hit back-to-back 3-pointers to open up a 28-22 lead with 6:30 left in the half. Juniata hit a 3-pointer in response and took the lead back at 30-29 before Lycoming closed the half on a 9-6 run to lead 38-25 at the break.

Mason Hardy led the Eagles with 24 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and five steals and Ty Kocak added 12 points, 20 rebounds and three steals. Jayden Bilger also added 19 points and two blocks and Tyler Lapetina posted 13 points, six rebounds and three assists.

The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Goucher College, at 2 p.m., in Landmark Conference action.
