SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Junior 
Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) had 19 points, three assists and two steals and sophomore 
Hayden Pardoe (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) added 17 points and four rebounds to lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, which shot 50 percent from the field in an 82-67 Landmark Conference setback against Susquehanna University on Saturday, Feb. 12, at O.W. Houts Gymnasium.
 
Valentine shot 7-of-13 from the floor and 3-of-7 from 3-point range in the contest and Pardoe went 6-of-10 from the field and 2-of-3 from 3-point range for the Warriors (3-19 overall, 2-13 Landmark). Sophomore 
Ethan Bomgardner (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) added eight points, hitting two 3-pointers, senior 
Ivan Komitski (Sofia, Bulgaria/Lee Academy) had seven and both sophomore 
Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) and first-year 
Noah Mathis (Ewing, N.J./Notre Dame) added six, with Shanahan also adding six assists.
 
The Warriors led for 15 minutes in the contest and built a 29-18 lead through the game's first 12 minutes, with Valentine capping the run with a 3-pointer before Susquehanna (13-9 overall, 10-5 Landmark) rallied to tie the game at 32 with 3:28 left in the first half. Still, a 3-pointer from Bomgardner helped Lycoming lead, 35-34, at the break.
 
A River Hawks' 3-pointer 24 seconds into the second half helped Susquehanna take the lead. The Warriors closed within one point twice, the last time coming off a Shanahan layup that made it 49-48 with 12:44 left, but Susquehanna used a 13-4 run to get the lead to double figures with 8:32 left. Lycoming cut that lead in half with 5:29 left, but Susquehanna got the lead back to double figures with 4:01 left.
 
Billy Anderson led Susquehanna with 27 points and 12 rebounds, Jackson Van Wagener added 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Brandon Lavitt posted 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
 
The Warriors are back on the court on Saturday, Feb. 15, when they host Moravian University to cap a Landmark Conference doubleheader at 4 p.m. Before the game, seniors Komitski and 
Bernard Rogers (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) will be honored for their contributions to the program.
