Pardoe notches ninth 20-point game of the year against Moravian

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Hayden Pardoe (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) notched his ninth 20-point game of the season, finishing with a game-high 22 for the Lycoming College men's basketball team, which fell to Moravian University, 94-64, in Landmark Conference action on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 15, at Lamade Gym.
 
Pardoe also pulled down eight rebounds for the Warriors (3-20 overall, 2-14 Landmark). Senior Ivan Komitski (Sofia, Bulgaria/Lee Academy) added 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists and junior Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) added eight points, five rebounds and two steals. First-year Blessing Ekwuazi (Flemington, N.J./Warren Hills) added six points and three assists and sophomore Misaias Herrera (Brookshire, Texas/Katy Jordan) notched five. Senior Bernard Rogers (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) notched a team-high five assists.
 
The Warriors shot 35 percent (23-of-66) from the field while the Greyhounds (15-8, 10-6 Landmark) finished at 46 percent (35-of-76) from the floor, adding in 10 3-pointers to Lycoming's five.
 
After Moravian opened the game on an 11-point run, the Warriors closed within two at 18-16 after a 3-pointer from Komitski with 12:44 left in the first half. The Warriors stayed close for the next five minutes before an eight-point run helped Moravian get the lead to double figures, and another late push in the half helped Moravian take a 15-point lead, 45-30, into the break.
 
Pardoe notched a fastbreak dunk with 16:56 left to make it 49-37, but an 18-5 run gave the Greyhounds a 72-41 lead with 9:46 left in the game.
 
Michael Leonardo led the Greyhounds with 20 points and 11 rebounds and Marquis Ratcliff added 18 points and 11 rebounds. Chad Kratzer posted 15 points and Porter Kelly added 13 points and six assists. Alex Dietz notched five points to reach 1,000 in his career.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, Feb. 19, when they host the University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
