WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three Lycoming College wrestlers won their respective weight classes – first-year 197-pounder Tyler Lobb (Brisbin, Pa./Moshannon Valley), junior 174-pounder Nolen Zeigler (Loysville, Pa./West Perry) and senior 184-pounder Eli Crum (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) – and 15 placed in the season-opening Lycoming Invitational at the Keiper Recreation Center on Sunday, Nov. 2.
 
Lobb posted a tech fall and a pin to open his career and reach the semifinals, where he notched a 10-5 win over Castleton's Jack Brown. He followed that with an 8-3 win over Caleb McCollum of Penn State Behrend in the finals.
 
The nation's second-ranked grappler in his weight class, Zeigler posted a 7-3 decision in the quarterfinals against Oneonta's Ayden DeForest before he dropped Marcus Lewis of Marymount by tech fall, 15-0, in the semifinal. In the finals, he earned a win by injury default while leading 9-1.
 
Regionally-ranked Crum posted pins over Castleton's Jake Long in the quarterfinals and Otterbein's Logan Cornell in the final while also adding a 6-2 win over Castleton's Desmond McLaughlin.
 
In the freshman-sophomore division, first-year Nathan Sterner (Gordon, Pa./North Schuylkill) took third in the 157-pound 'B' bracket, first-year Nando Ott (East Hanover, N.J./Hanover Park) took fourth at 165 pounds, first-year Luke Magnani (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) and first-year Colby Seiler (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) took fifth at 133 pounds and 157 'A,' respectively and first-year Howard Brambley (Breezewood, Pa./Everett) took sixth at heavyweight.
 
In the junior-senior division, junior Kaiden Wagner (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) took second at 165 pounds, junior 157-pounder Wyatt Kent (Wheaton, Md./Albert Einstein), junior 174-pounder Devon Green (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) and junior 197-pounder Ivan Neal (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Central) were fourth, junior 141-pounder Major Lewis (Camp Hill, Pa./Trinity) was fifth and juniors 149-pounder Jayden Drummond (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Central) and 141-pounder Avery Rosan (Frederica, Del./Polytech) each placed sixth.
 
Neal posted the match of the tournament, notching a 4-1 decision against Oneonta's fourth-ranked Carson Licastri in the 197-pound quarterfinals.
 
The Warriors are back on the mat on Saturday, Nov. 8, when they head to Washington & Jefferson Invitational, which is set for a 9 a.m. start.
