SCRANTON, Pa. – With nine saves, including three in the third quarter, senior
Isabella Bobé (York Springs, Pa./Bermudian Springs) became the first goalkeeper in the history of the Lycoming College field hockey program to reach 500 career saves to highlight the team's Wednesday night, Oct. 8, at the University of Scranton, as the team fell, 4-0.
Bobé posted five saves in the second period to give her six in a scoreless game at halftime, leaving her two shy of the milestone, which she reached with 2:47 left in the third quarter.
Scranton (9-3 overall, 3-0 Landmark) scored three times in the third quarter and once in the fourth to post the win, with Annie Shaw posting two goals and an assist to lead the Royals.
Maclean Thuermer finished with one save to earn the Royals' shutout.
The Warriors (6-4 overall, 0-2 Landmark) are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11, when they head to Moravian University for a 1 p.m., Landmark Conference match.
