WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—With three goals and an assist in another 2-0 week for the Lycoming College women's soccer team, junior Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) earned Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week award honors for the third time in the last four weeks, the conference office announced on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Magee began the week with a huge night in an 8-0 romp at Elmira on Wednesday, Oct. 1, scoring the first goal of the match, then adding another goal and an assist in her third multi-goal effort of the season and her fifth game with both a goal and assist. She followed that with the first Warrior score in a 3-1 victory on Saturday, Oct. 4 vs. Drew, finding the net with a free kick in the 8th minute.Â
In 12 games this season, Magee has racked up 14 goals and nine assists, both tops in the Landmark Conference. She also leads all of Division III with 37 points and 3.08 points per game and is tied for fourth in goals. Magee has a goal in 10 of 12 games this season and a point in 11 of 12 contests, leading a Lycoming attack that is second in Division III in total goals and has powered a school-record 12-0 start to the season.
She is within three points of the single-season record of 40 set by Jordan Lazarich in 2016, while her 14 goals are tied for fifth in program history and nine assists are tied for third.
A second-team all-conference selection in 2024, Magee has earned three weekly honors this season, having also been selected as the top offensive athlete on Sept. 15 and 22. The Warriors have now had an athlete of the week in five consecutive weeks, with senior Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J. / Morris Catholic) earning defensive honors last week (Sept. 29) and junior Mikayla Long (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) taking the offensive award on Sept. 8.Â
The Warriors will be back in action later tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m., for a Landmark Conference match against the University of Scranton at UPMC Field.
