WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Following a pair of dominant performances, including a triple-double and a career-best effort in assists, Lycoming College first year outside hitter Kamryn Skeith (Monroe, Wa. / Sultan) earned the Landmark Conference Volleyball Athlete of the Week award, which was announced by the conference on Monday, Oct. 13.
Skeith helped the Warriors to two wins in their three matches last week, totaling 39 kills, 46 assists, and 25 digs while hitting a robust .356 on the week.
She began her week on Wednesday, Oct. 8, recording a team-high eight kills alongside seven assists in a three-set sweep of Penn College, despite only playing the first two sets. On Friday, Oct. 10 against Catholic, Skeith tallied her fifth triple-double of the season with a team-high 15 kills,13 digs and 15 assists. She closed out the week the following afternoon against Goucher by racking up 16 kills (one off her career high) and a career-best 24 assists in a four-set victory.
Skeith is fifth in the Landmark Conference in kills (2.69), sixth in hitting percentage (.268) and she leads the league with 0.66 service aces per set. She is third in the conference with an average of 3.62 points per set.
Skeith is the first Warrior to pick up Athlete of the Week accolades this year and the first since Brynne Bisel was honored on Oct. 7, 2024.
The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Lamade Gym for a Landmark Conference matchup against No. 5 Juniata College, which will get underway at 7 p.m.
