KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – First-year Lacy Eckard scored a school-record five goals for a school-record 10 points, as she led the Lycoming College field hockey team to a 6-0 win at Keuka on Saturday, Sept. 7, helping secure the Warriors' second win of the season.
Junior Autumn Shahan (Wilimington, Del. / Wilmington Charter) previously held the school records, posting four goals and eight points against Elmira in the 2023 season opener.
Sophomore Carmen Hannon (Aldie, V. / John Champe) assisted Eckard in securing the first two goals for the Warriors, as the first happened in the seventh minute of the first quarter and the second at the 40-minute mark. Junior Riley Marines (East Berlin, Pa. / Bermudian Springs) assisted Eckard on the third goal three minutes later.
She added two unassisted fourth-quarter goals before sophomore Loghan Shelly (Carlisle, Pa. / Bermudian Springs) secured the Warriors' last goal with nine minutes left.
Lycoming (2-2 overall) notched 18 shots, compared to three from Keuka (0-4 overall).
Junior Isabella Bobé (York Springs, Pa. / Bermudian Springs) made two saves in the net as the Warriors' goalkeeper, while Keuka's Nijeylie Torres and Jordan Nichols notched six saves against Lycoming's efforts.
The Warriors hit the road on Saturday, Sept. 14, for Rochester, N.Y., as the team will play Division II Roberts Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
