WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - First-year Maggie Campbell (Bloomsburg, Pa. / Central Columbia) scored with 4:40 remaining, tipping in a pass from senior Halie Woodring (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin), to lead the Lycoming College field hockey team to its third straight win with a 2-1 victory over Lancaster Bible College in non-conference action on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
As time ticked down in a tie game, the Warriors (4-2 overall) pressed forward, with Woodring sending a ball into towards the net, where Campbell touched it and sent it into the goal, lifting the team to its fourth win of the season, matching its win total from 2024.
In the ninth minute, junior Riley Marines (East Berlin, Pa. / Bermudian Springs) got a pass near the endline and sent it across the goal mouth, where Campbell tipped it in to give Lycoming a 1-0 lead.
Molly Gray, assisted by Riley Danko, secured Lancaster Bible's goal in the 44th minute, one of just three shots in the game for the Chargers (1-4 overall), while the Warriors fired 20.
In net for the Warriors, junior Isabella Bobé (York Springs, Pa. / Bermudian Springs) notched one save and Lancaster Bible's Amanda Hoover made 11 saves.
Lycoming accumulated 10 penalty corners and Lancaster Bible had two.
The Warriors open Landmark Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 12 p.m., when they face Elizabethtown.
