WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three singles wins at the bottom of the lineup helped the Lycoming College men's tennis team rush back to tie it up, but Misericordia University won the rubber match at No. 2 singles to post a 4-3 non-conference win at Brandon Park on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 12.

Down 2-0 after a loss at No. 1 singles, first-year
Kayvan Shams (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) posted a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5 over Derek Burcik. Senior
Luke Taylor (Williamsport, Pa./Word of Life Bible Institute) followed with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6 over Eli Harding. The Cougars took a 3-2 lead with a win at No. 3, but senior
Mohamed Ebeid (Cairo, Egypt/British International) tied it again with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Christian Mazza. The Cougars clinched the match with a win at No. 2, though.

Josh Neidert (Reading, Pa./Oley Valley) and senior
Matthew Baldridge (Damascus, Md./Damascus) posted a 6-3 win over Dalton Alexander and Wyatt Fischer at No. 1 doubles, but the Cougars won the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.

The Warriors fell to 0-2 and Misericordia improved to 1-0.
