Nick Hoheb (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) had an RBI single to lead the Lycoming College baseball team, which fell to Elizabethtown College, 11-1, in eight innings in Landmark Conference action at Brandon Park on Friday afternoon, May 3.
The Warriors (8-30 overall, 2-20 Landmark) scored in the fourth inning, as sophomore
Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) reached on an error before a walk moved him to second base. After a pair of flyouts, Hoheb got the Warriors' first hit with a hard-hit grounder down the line.
Elizabethtown (29-10 overall, 18-6 Landmark) got two-run homers from Quintin Perilli and AJ Bednar as it clinched the No. 1 seed in the Landmark Conference Championship. Perilli led the Blue Jays, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, two doubles and a stolen base.
Kyle Mulvill (8-1) earned the win, allowing two hits and no earned runs in six innings. Senior
Zac Zaller (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) (0-8) pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits, two walks and nine runs. He struck out two.
The Warriors wrap up the 2024 season on Saturday, May 3, when they host Juniata College in an 11 a.m. Landmark Conference doubleheader.
