WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three members of the Lycoming College men's tennis team – seniors
Luke Leach (Middlebury Center, Pa./Wellsboro Area),
Connor Albaugh (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock Township) and junior
Mohamed Ebeid (Cairo, Egypt/Egyptian British International) have each earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday, May 14.
The awards are the second for Leach and Ebeid and the first for Albaugh.
Leach, a chemistry major, won four matches at the No. 1 singles slot and added four more wins at No. 1 doubles.
Albaugh, a mathematics major, notched four wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and four wins at No. 1 doubles.
Ebeid, an engineering physics and applied computer science major, played in the No. 3-5 singles slots, winning one match, and adding three wins between No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Eligible student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have competed in 70 percent of the institution's contests.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
