Hines leads the Warriors at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Senior Rory Hines (Cortland, N.Y./ Cortland) led the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team with two goals as it fell, 15-5, to Susquehanna University on Saturday, April 6 at Sassafras Field.

Hines put up his first goal in the third period of the game with 3:45 remaining, stopping a five-goal run from Susquehanna. His second goal was in the fourth period with 6:34 remaining.

The Warriors (2-6 overall, 0-4 Landmark) were down four at halftime with a 5-1 score, with senior Evan Unser (Smithtown, N.Y./ Smithtown West) getting the Warriors on the scoreboard in the first quarter.

Steven Musser, Brennan Lorence, Pat McDermott and Nick Remund each had two goals to lead Susquehanna (10-2 overall, 4-0 Landmark). Jack Gaillard led the team with five assists and three goalkeepers made a total of 19 saves.

Junior Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./ Emmaus) faced 51 shots and made 15 saves.

Junior Joey Hoover (Selinsgrove, Pa./ Selinsgrove Area) had a goal and led the team with six groundballs and two caused turnovers. Senior Patrick Dwyer (Somerville, N.J./ Immaculata) also had a goal for the Warriors.

The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday, April 10, at 7 p.m., as they host Wilkes University in Landmark Conference play at UPMC Field.
