WASHINGTON D.C. – Sophomore
Jack Kelly (Alexandria, Va./Alexandria City) had a hit in both ends of a doubleheader to lead the Lycoming College baseball team, which fell to the Catholic University of America, 12-4 and 6-2, in Landmark Conference action at Talbot Field on Saturday afternoon, April 27.

Roman Tozzi (7-0) threw 5 2/3 innings of one-hit baseball in the first game, as Catholic (27-9 overall, 14-6 Landmark) scored 10 of the first 11 runs in a 12-4 win.

The Warriors scored their first run in the fifth, as junior
Evan Mok (Daly City, Calif./St. Ignatius) reached on a one-out error before sophomore
Nick Hoheb (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) doubled down the left field line to drive in a run.

In the sixth, junior
Jake Schilling (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) was hit by a pitch with two outs. He moved to second on a single by first-year
Eric MacCluen (Downingtown, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) before scoring on an error.

In the seventh, Hoheb and senior
Kenny Nichols (Corry, Md./Corry Area) led off by being hit by a pitch before Kelly doubled both runs in with a shot down the right-field line.

Zach Burton went 2-for-5 with a homer and four RBI to lead the Cardinals. Logan Eilbacher was 3-for-5 with three runs and a homer.

Senior
Zac Zaller (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) (0-7) threw 4 1/3 innings, allowing 11 hits and striking out two.

Lycoming scored the first two runs in the second game, but Catholic scored the final six runs in the 6-2 nightcap.

Sophomore
Zachary Pleska (Salem, Ohio/Columbiana) led off the game with an infield single before sophomore
Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) reached on a fielder's choice. He stole second before Mok walked, then the pair managed a pair of double steals to allow Reeder to score before Mok scored on a groundout.

Eilbacher hit a homer and finished 2-for-5 with three RBI to lead the Cardinals. Zach Burton was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI.

Cody Bosak (3-1) pitched seven innings, allowing three hits and two runs. He walked five and struck out seven. Sophomore
Noah Miller (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs) (3-5) pitched five innings, allowing seven hits, two walks and five runs. He struck out six.
