WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Sophomore Noah Miller (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs) fired eight innings of two-hit ball to lift the Lycoming College baseball team to a 4-1 win over Saint Vincent College, the program's first win at brand-new Brandon Park Baseball Field to start a doubleheader on Sunday, April 21. The Warriors lost the second game in extra innings, 10-2.
Miller (3-4) tossed eight innings, throwing 100 pitches and striking out three. He retired the first nine batters in order, retired six in a row in the fourth and fifth after the lone run he allowed scored in the fourth, and benefitted from double plays in the sixth and seventh. He retired six of the last five batters he faced as well.

First-year Grayson Rinker (Jersey Shore, Pa./Montoursville Area) earned his second save, allowing one runner to reach via error in the ninth.
Dylan Schmud had the only hit for the Bearcats (8-20) that reached the outfield. Nate Davis (3-4) pitched five innings, allowing six hits and our runs. He walked two and struck out two.
In the second game, Saint Vincent broke open a tie with an eight-run rally in the eighth inning of a seven-inning regulation game to post a 10-2 win.

J'Shawn Taylor went 2-for-4 with two runs and a RBI to lead the Bearcats. Kudlacik and MacCluen also had hits for Lycoming, which had four in the game.
Cody May (1-1) threw two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win, striking out two. Junior Jake Schilling (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) (0-1) was the first of four pitchers for the Warriors in the eighth, allowing two hits, a walk and three runs.
The Warriors are back in action on Tuesday, April 21, when they host Penn College in a 1:30 p.m. non-conference doubleheader at Brandon Park.
