GREENSBORO, Pa. – The Lycoming College baseball team fell to Greensboro College, 9-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 17, at Ted Leonard Park.

Ian Bast threw five innings, allowing two hits and a walk and struck out four to earn the win for the Pride (2-0 overall) before three relievers combined to toss four innings, allowing just one hit.

The Warriors (0-2 overall) did walk six times to go with singles from junior

Greg Wirin (Interlaken, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) and sophomore

Drake Carrick led the Pride, going 3-for-3 with two runs and a RBI and Evan Sykes and Adam Weber each also had two hits, with Weber and Brody Gardner each scoring two runs.

Zac Zaller (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) (0-1) took the loss, allowing five hits and one earned run in three innings. Sophomore
Matt Guido (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) and first-year
Hunter Daab (Howard Beach, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) combined to throw scoreless frames in the seventh and eighth innings.
