GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior second baseman
Evan Mok (Daly City, Calif./St. Ignatius) went 3-for-4 with a homer, two runs, two RBI and two stolen bases in his debut with the Lycoming College baseball team, but a late rally helped Greensboro College post a 9-5 non-conference win at Ted Leonard Park on Friday, Feb. 16.
Â
Sophomore
Zachary Pleska (Salem, Ohio/Columbiana) added a 3-for-5 effort with two doubles and two RBI, as he combined with Mok for six of Lycoming's eight hits in the 2024 debut.
Â
The Pride (1-0 overall) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first two innings before Mok homered to left in the third inning to get the Warriors (0-1 overall) on the board. Senior
Joey Trout (North East, Md./St. Elizabeth) was hit to lead off the fourth and came around to score on the first double of the day from Pleska in the fourth to make it 3-2.
Â
Lycoming tied the game at four in the fifth, as Mok was hit by a pitch and stole second before junior
Danny DeLucas (Whittier, Calif./La Serna) walked and a double steal moved them to second and third. A wild pitch allowed Mok to score before a double down the line from Pleska with two outs tied the game.
Â
The Warriors took the lead in the top of the sixth, as sophomore
Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) singled to lead off, moved to second on a groundout, stole third and scored on a two-out single from Mok.
