SCRANTON, Pa. - First-year Sean Martinez (Willow Grove, Pa. / Upper Moreland) finished seventh in the 100-yard freestyle, leading the Lycoming College men's swimming team at the Electric City Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 24, at Marywood University Aquatic Center in Scranton, Pa.

The Warrior men in fifth place of seven teams with 149 points, beating King's College (Pa.) and Marywood. The women's team also finished fifth in an eight-team invitational, posting a 140-point finish and surpassing Wilkes, Cedar Crest, and King's College (Pa.). Scranton won both the men's and women's titles.

In the 100-yard freestyle, Martinez finished seventh with a time of 50.57, and he was followed by sophomore Drew Degnan (Elmira, N.Y. / Elmira), who finished 11^th with a 51.05 time. Senior Brian Hulsey (Annapolis, Md. / Annapolis Area Christian) swam a career-best 59.95 in the 100-yard freestyle, and sophomore Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg) finished his 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.00.

The quartet teamed to place seventh in the 400-yard freestyle relay to cap the weekend, finishing in 3:41.86.

Sophomore Gwyn Fox (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area) dropped 1.93 seconds off her 100-yard freestyle time, earning a 13^th-place finish in 58.96, and sophomore Megan Klansek (Hanover, Pa. / Southwestern) improved by 1.82 seconds with a 1:03.63 to take 20th.

Sophomore Anasten Holbrook (Parker, Colo. / Colorado Early Colleges-Douglas County) took 12th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:49.10, and sophomore Londyn Snyder (Halifax, Pa. / Halifax Area) finished eighth in the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:42.29 time. First-year Madison Robbins (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro Area) also took 12^th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 7.28 second improvement for a personal-best 2:49.49 finish.

To cap the meet, the Warriors finished eighth in the 400-yard freestyle relay thanks to the work of Fox, Robbins, Klansek and junior Megan Lonergan (York, Pa./York Suburban), helping the Warriors stave off a late rally from Wilkes to stay in fifth place after finishing Saturday in sixth place.

The Warriors travel to Scranton, Pa., on Saturday, Dec. 7, to compete in a double-dual meet against Marywood and SUNY Delhi at 11 a.m.
