Mavin James (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) posted 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds for the first double-double of his career to pace the Lycoming College men's basketball team, which had four players in double figures to get past Moravian University, 81-67, in Landmark Conference action at Lamade Gym on Sunday, Jan. 7.

Steven Hamilton (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) notched 19 points and seven assists, hitting 4-of-7 from long range, and adding two steals, and both sophomore
Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) and junior
Ivan Komitski (Sofia, Bulgaria/Lee Academy) each had 12 points, with Valentine posting seven boards, three assists and three steals and Komitski posting six rebounds.

Hayden Pardoe (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) notched eight points, six rebounds and two steals, sophomore
J.J. Beagle (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) added seven points and eight rebounds and senior
Brendon Blackson (Laurel, Md./Laurel) added five assists for the Warriors (6-7 overall, 2-4 Landmark), who had assists on 19 of 28 field goals and outrebounded the Greyhounds (5-8 overall, 1-5 Landmark), 46-39.

The Warriors pulled away in the second half, as they shot 37 percent from the field (14-of-38) while the Greyhounds were held to 22 percent (7-of-32).

Moravian hit two field goals to start the second half and take a 43-40 lead, but a second-chance layup from Beagle started the Warriors on a run of eight straight points and started a 24-6 run capped by a fastbreak layup from Valentine on a dish from Hamilton with 9:50 left. Moravian couldn't bring the game back within single digits, while Lycoming led by as many as 19 after a transition 3-pointer from first-year
Missais Herrera (Katy, Texas/Katy Jordan) that made it 78-59.

In the first half, the two teams went through six lead changes and five ties, with neither team leading by more than six points. The Warriors led for the last 8:00, as Pardoe hit a 3-pointer to make it 25-22, but Moravian stayed close throughout, with a late field goal making it a two-point game.

Marquis Ratcliff led the Greyhounds with 17 points and nine rebounds, Gary Francis had 14 points and Porter Kelly posted 11 points and six rebounds.

The Warriors will get back on the court on Tuesday, Jan. 9, when they head to Susquehanna for a 7 p.m. Landmark Conference match.
