Seedor, Komitski lead Warriors at Catholic

WASHINGTON D.C. – Sophomore Colin Seedor (Coal Township, Pa./Shamokin Area) had a career-high 17 points and junior Ivan Komitski (Sofia, Bulgaria/Lee Academy) had a career-best 15 to lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, as it fell to the Catholic University of America, 105-68, in Landmark Conference action at the DuFour Center on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 3.
 
Seedor went 5-for-11 from 3-point range and he added a team-high five rebounds to lead Lycoming (5-7 overall, 1-4 Landmark). Komitski had two 3-pointers and five field goals. Junior Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) posted seven points, five rebounds and three assists and junior Bernard Rogers (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) had a career-best four assists. First-year Misaias Herrera (Katy, Texas/Katy Jordan) added a career-high eight points to go with his first block, as he drilled two 3-pointers. Ten of the 11 players that saw action factored into the team's scoring.
 
The Warriors hit 14 3-pointers, shooting 30 percent (14-of-46) from long range and 31 percent in the game (22-of-72).
 
The Cardinals (10-2 overall, 4-1 Landmark) shot 55 percent (43-of-78) and 50 percent from 3-point range (17-of-34) and took just two free throws in the contest.
 
The Cardinals used an 18-3 run in the first half to gain control of the game before a run of 15 straight points helped them take a 58-26 lead into the break. In the second half, the Warriors scored 42 points, keeping pace with Catholic's 47.
 
Sean Neylon led the Cardinals with 21 points and six rebounds, Enzo Sechi added 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Tommy Kelly added six assists. Thirteen of the 18 Cardinals that saw action factored into the scoring.
 
The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 6, when they host Moravian University in Landmark Conference action at 1 p.m., in Lamade Gym.
