Goldenziel and Abdo in double figures against Etown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa, - Junior Alicia Goldenziel (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) and sophomore Kami Abdo (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity BVM) led the Lycoming College women's basketball team with 11 points apiece at Elizabethtown College, which posted a 75-45 win, on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 20m at Thompson Gymnasium.

Abdo and Goldenziel each put up 11 points to go with five rebounds for the Warriors (9-8 overall, 3-7 Landmark). Abdo also led the team in assists with three.

Junior Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) had nine points and senior Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./Benton Area) had eight points and a team-high six rebounds.

Elizabethtown shot 53 percent (33-of-62) from the field, building a 36-15 first half lead. Lycoming shot 46 percent (11-of-24) in the second half to score 30 points. The Warriors also scored seven points in a row in the fourth quarter, with Abdo capping the rally with a 3-pointer.

Elizabethtown (13-4 overall, 9-1 Landmark) had three players in double figures - Cyleigh Wilson (17), DaniRae Renno (12), and Lindsay Boyd (11). Summer McNulty had 10 assists for the Blue Jays.

The Warriors will be back at Lamade Gym on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. as they face Wilkes University in Landmark Conference play.
