WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's basketball team fell to the 14th-ranked University of Scranton, 85-29, in Landmark Conference action on Wednesday night, Jan. 17 at John Long Center.
Senior Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./Benton Area) led the team with 10 points, scoring six points in the second half, adding six rebounds and two assists. Junior Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) followed with eight points.
The Royals (14-2 overall, 7-2 Landmark) shot 60 percent in the first quarter and built a 36-5 lead and outscored the Warriors in all four quarters.
Junior Meghan Dufner (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) posted six rebounds and added a steal and junior Alicia Goldenziel (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) also had four points, three rebounds and one block for the Warriors (9-7 overall, 3-6 Landmark).
Scranton had three players - Kaci Kranson (13), Meghan Lamanna (13) and Maddy Ryan (12) - in double figures. Maddie Ryan also contributed six rebounds and Allie Lynch had seven. Jenna Sloan posted five assists and seven steals.
The Warriors will be back on the court Saturday, Jan. 20 as they face Elizabethtown at 4 p.m. in another Landmark Conference game on the road.
