Warriors fall to Goucher

TOWSON, Md. – The Lycoming College field hockey team fell to Goucher College, 3-0, in Landmark Conference action at Beldon Field on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 24.
 
The Warriors (3-4 overall, 0-2 Landmark) took 10 shots in the game, including seven on goal, but were unable to score on Goucher goalkeeper Katie Bloom. Lycoming was also awarded 10 penalty corners, including six in the fourth quarter, in the game while Goucher had just three.
 
The two teams' played scoreless in the first half before the Gophers (6-1 overall, 1-1 Landmark) scored twice in the third quarter and one in the last, on a penalty stroke.
 
Rylie Belauskas, Madison Usher and Daryn Carter scored for Goucher and Isa Schenk had two assists.
 
Sophomore Isabella Bobé (York Springs, Pa./Bermudian Springs) stopped four shots in goal for the Warriors.
 
The Warriors get back on the field on Tuesday, Sept. 26, when they host Lancaster Bible College in non-conference action at 6 p.m.
