Jake Schilling (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) won it with a walk-off single to right center in the eighth as the Lycoming College baseball team posted a 5-4 win over King's College in the first game of a MAC Freedom doubleheader at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field on Thursday evening, April 6. Lycoming scored two runs in the seventh inning of game two and sent the winning run to the plate, but fell, 3-2.
The Warriors (7-15 overall, 5-8 MAC Freedom) rallied from a 4-1 deficit in the first game, scoring single runs in the second, fourth and seventh while first-year pitcher
Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) allowed a hit and a walk in five innings of shutout relief.

Zachary Pleska (Salem, Ohio/Columbiana) tripled to lead off the second and after a flyout and shallow single by first-year
Zach Kudlacik (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville, Pa.), he scored on a groundout from Reeder. In the fourth, Kudlacik singled to lead off, moved to third on a double from junior
Braden Campbell (Centerville, Utah/Cooper Hills) and scored on a two-out error to make it 4-3.
Trout sent a long homer over the left field fence to tie the game in the seventh. First-year
Jake Wilber (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) (2-3) struck out two in a scoreless eighth inning, setting up the last Warrior rally, as Reeder hit a one-out single before Campbell singled to the opposite field to move Reeder to third. Campbell stole second as a batter struck out, setting up Schilling, who lifted a fly ball over the right fielder's head for the winning run.
Reeder finished with two runs, a hit and a RBI. Campbell went 4-for-4, Pleska was 2-for-4 with a run and Kudlacik was 2-for-3 with a run.
Nick Ciszak and Justin Richards each had two RBIs to lead the Monarchs (9-16 overall, 3-11 MAC Freedom), who scored all four runs in the second after Reeder walked and scored in the first for the Warriors.
Jeff Higgins (0-3) was tagged with the loss, allowing five hits and two runs in 3 2/3 innings. He struck out one.
In the second game, King's scored an unearned run in the first before back-to-back doubles from Chiszak and Chase Yochem in the third led to two runs to give King's a 3-0 lead.

Kai Foster (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) hit pinch-hit singles to start the seventh. An error moved them up a base before a wild pitch scored Hoheb and a groundout brought in Foster. First-year
Ben Glad (Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley) walked with two outs, but a strikeout ended the game with the winning run at the plate.
Matt Kasala (2-3) earned the win for the Monarchs, as he allowed eight hits and two runs. He struck out two. Will Hronich earned the save, striking out one in one inning.

Noah Miller (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs) allowed one hit and struck out three in 4 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Yochem led the Monarchs, going 2-for-3 with a run, a double and two RBI.
