DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Using a six-goal run between the first and second quarters, the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team broke open the game before holding off Delaware Valley University late in a 12-10 MAC Freedom win on Wednesday night, April 5, at Lipinski Field.

Senior
Owen Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) paced the run, scoring three goals, helping him finish with seven in the game to give him 140 career goals, as he passed Lycoming Athletics Hall of Famer Shawn Rosa '00 (135) for third on the all-time goals list. He also moved into seventh in program history with 182 career points, posting 140 goals and 42 assists in his career.

Sophomore
Joey Hoover (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) scored three goals and sophomore
Sean Farrell (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) added a goal and two assists.

The Warriors (4-7 overall, 1-1 MAC Freedom) notched three goals in the first half of the first quarter to take a 3-0 lead, with Zimmerman notching two of those goals and junior
Evan Unser (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown West) also denting the twine. The Aggies (6-6 overall, 2-1 MAC Freedom) tied the game with three straight scores, but Hoover scored a man-up goal with 1:28 left in the quarter to start the team's run of six goals, which helped Lycoming lead, 9-4 at halftime.

The Aggies came back from the five-goal deficit with five of the last six goals in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 11-10 with 11 seconds left in the quarter, but in the last 15 minutes, sophomore
Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) stopped all four Aggie shots on goal to stop the rally, and Hoover scored in transition with 1:10 left to ice the game.

Daniel Aulisi notched three goals and four groundballs, Sean Mylod finished with 18 groundballs and three caused turnovers and Tony Aguayo notched a goal, an assists, seven groundballs and three caused turnovers for the Aggies.

Senior
Joe Corozzo (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore) notched five groundballs and two caused turnovers and sophomore
Jacob Switzer (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) added four groundballs and caused two turnovers for the Warriors.

Franco (4-6) notched 15 saves to earn the win for Lycoming, as he moved past Alan Antinarelli '11 and into fifth in program history with 372 career saves.

Aidan Purcell took the loss for the Aggies, making one save in the first half.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, April 12, when they host Wilkes in another MAC Freedom matchup at 7 p.m., at UPMC Field at Keiper Stadium.
