DALLAS, Pa. – Senior Joe Corozzo (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore) and sophomore Ryan Farrell (Swedesboro, N.J./Archmere Academy) led the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team with goals in a 17-2 MAC Freedom setback to Misericordia University on Wednesday night, April 26, at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Corozzo's goal was his fourth of the season, tying his career high mark. Farrell notched his second of the season, picking up three ground balls and causing a team high three turnovers. Sophomore Jakob Switzer (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) had a team-leading six ground balls, and senior Christian Brown (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) earned the assist on Corozzo's goal.
 
Corozzo's goal at 9:48 in the fourth quarter put an end to a 14-goal run by the Cougars after senior Brody Balasa (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) gained possession on a ground ball, passing to Brown who threw a long pass to clear the field to Corozzo, making the high shot to the right of the goal. Taking the faceoff, Farrell snagged the ground ball as he was forced back to his own restraining line before running the ball back into the Cougars' zone, ripping a low shot on goal with 6:45 left in the game.
 
The Cougars were led by Ryan Vandenberg and Jared Pelliccione with four goals each, and Kyle Vandenberg added three goals.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) made 12 saves before he was relieved by senior Sean Sonnie (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson), who made three stops.
 
The Warriors return to action for their final regular season game on Saturday, April 29, when they travel to FDU-Florham for a key 1 p.m. MAC Freedom start in Madison, N.J., with the winner earning the fifth and final MAC Freedom Championship slot.
