WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Braden Campbell (Centerville, Utah/Cooper Hills) posted three hits in a pair of games against 21
st-ranked Misericordia University to lead the Lycoming College baseball team in a Sunday afternoon doubleheader at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field on April 16, as Misericordia posted 13-2 and 5-1 wins.

The Warriors (8-20 overall, 6-12 MAC Freedom) racked seven hits in the second game to Misericordia's six, but the Cougars (25-6 overall, 13-3 MAC Freedom) used a four-run first inning to take control.

Cameron Bailey (Mercersburg, Pa./James Buchanan) had the RBI as his hit in the bottom of the sixth inning down the left field line, giving junior
Joey Trout (North East, Md./Saint Elizabeth) just enough time to round third base for home for the Warriors' lone run. Trout reached on a fielder's choice and took second after first-year
Zachary Pleska (Salem, Ohio, Columbiana) had also singled down the left field line.

The Warriors held the Cougars (26-6 overall, 14-3 MAC Freedom) without just one more run after the first.

Jake Wilber (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) struck out one but allowed four hits, two walks and four runs. Connor Marvniak went 5 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and a run. He struck out six before yielding to J Cioffi went 1 1/3 innings, allowing a hit and two walks to earn the save.

Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) went 2-for-4 for the Warriors. Brendan Gray led the Cougars, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Reeder (1-1) took the loss, tossing three innings, allowing three hits and four runs, striking out one and saw three walks. Steve Rinda (3-1) earned the win for the Cougars, allowing an earned run and three hits in five innings. He walked four and struck out five.

Derrick Vosburg went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and three RBI for the Cougars.

The Warriors return to the field on Tuesday, April 18, when they travel to Elmira College for a 3:30 p.m. start in Elmira, N.Y.
