Â
Franco's 25 stops are the most for a Warrior since Michael Tenant set the school record of 28 saves against Ithaca on Feb. 27, 2019.
Â
Sophomore
Joey Hoover (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) put three balls in the back of the cage for his second career hat trick and added two groundballs. Senior
Owen Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) also scored another three goals and added a team-leading four groundballs, causing one turnover. He moved into eighth in program history with 115 career goals, moving past Dave Kirschner '05 and Matt McCaffer '14, who both scored 113 in their careers, during the game.
Â
Junior
Patrick Dwyer (Somerville, N.J./Immaculata) and sophomore
Troy Scozzafava (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) each put up two goals, as Dwyer added an assist and two groundballs and Scozzafava notched a team-high three assists and two ground balls. Junior
Max Anderson (Harrisburg, Pa./Homeschooled) also had a goal. Sophomore

Â
After a Lycoming (2-4 overall) timeout was called early in the first quarter with Drew (5-3 overall) ahead, 5-0, the Warriors rallied. Dwyer picked up a ground ball and scored the first goal of the afternoon on a rebound from inside the crease. Scozzafava was the next score for the Warriors' off a Rangers turnover, taking a pass from sophomore
Sean Farrell (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) who had come around the backside of the goal. Zimmerman's first goal cut the Rangers' lead to 6-3 as Dwyer gained the ground ball, passing to Zimmerman, who finished with a laser of a shot from the restraining line.
Â
The Warriors put up four in the second quarter to take the lead at the break, 7-6. Dwyer scored again in front of the goal after dodging two Rangers defenders. Hoover scored on a man-up opportunity off a pass from Scozzafava coming from behind the goal. His second score came two minutes later off a hard shot from the right side of the goal. His third goal came on a second man-up chance off an underhanded shot from the left post.
Â
Anderson scored a man-up goal in the third quarter, with his shot on the goal coming from outside the right crease. Zimmerman netted his second of the game to give the Warriors a three-goal lead on a one-handed shot that was wrapped around the post. A behind the back shot attempt on his way out of the goal mouth gave Scozzafava his second goal of the game as junior
Andrew Ednie (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East) earned the assist. The Rangers ended the third quarter with three unanswered goals to tie the game at 10, though.
Â
A pickup by first-year
Cole Slezak (Butler, Pa./Kiski Prep) found its way to Zimmerman unattended for the Warriors' final goal of the game halfway through the quarter, but the Rangers scored the last two goals, with Luke Bruther scoring the game winner with 2:35 left.
Â
The Rangers were led by Craig Wilke and Luke Bruther with three goals apiece. GJ Nazziola led the Rangers with 12 groundballs. Matt Duarte and Sawyer Kennedy combined for seven saves for the Rangers.
Â
The Warriors return home to UPMC Field on Wednesday, March 15, when they host Alfred University for a 5 p.m. faceoff.
