OSWEGO, N.Y. – Facing a lineup with five regionally-ranked opponents with a lineup that had three, Lycoming needed to have positive results in several of those weight classes, and a pair of upsets at 141 and 149 pounds and three wins in those matches helped the 21
st-ranked Lycoming College wrestling team to a 19-17 win over Oswego State on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 17, at Max Ziel Gymnasium.

Junior 141-pounder
Cooper Gilham (Bellefonte, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) provided the first boost at with a sudden-victory win, getting in on a single-leg and winning the scrum to get a takedown to defeat Gabe Goss, 4-1, who is ranked seventh in the Mideast Region.

Wiley Kahler (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity BVM) followed with another upset, as he seemed to dominate handfights and shots with Tyler Rossini, ranked fifth in the Mideast Region, throughout regulation, where both only had escapes to begin the second and third periods. In the overtime period, Kahler grabbed a leg and stepped over to take Rossini to the mat for another 4-1 win at 149.

After an Oswego (2-2 overall) decision at 157 cut the lead to six points at 12-6, junior 165-pounder
Chase Chapman (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) posted a huge 13-1 major decision against Steven Felice to give Lycoming (4-0 overall) a 16-6 lead.

Fifth-ranked Charlie Grygas struggled to put away regionally-ranked
Eli Crum (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs), as Crum used a four-point near fall in the third period to close within 9-6 while having secured the riding-time point, as the two competitors were in the neutral position, but a late takedown from Grygas gave the Laker a 12-7 win.

th-ranked senior
Gable Crebs (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) with Anthony Cascen, ranked sixth in the Mideast Region. Crebs earned the first point of the match with a quick second-period escape and when Cascen chose neutral in the third, it led to a last-second shot that Crebs converted into the only takedown of the match for a 4-0 win to clinch the meet.

Kaden Majcher (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) kicked off the dual by making quick work of Michael Hade at 125, securing a pin in 2:08. Junior
Thomas Conselyea (Landing, N.J./Roxbury) followed against regionally-ranked Michael Santore, getting a first-period takedown, but dropping a 5-3 decision, giving Oswego its first points of the match.
