Warriors fall in first MAC Freedom contest

HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Lycoming College field hockey team fell at Stevens Institute of Technology, 6-0, on Saturday, Sept. 17.
 
First-year goalkeeper Isabella Bobé (York Springs, Pa./Bermudian Springs) made 14 saves for the Warriors (1-5 overall, 0-1 MAC Freedom).
 
The Warriors were awarded one penalty corner in the game and first-year Victoria Burton (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) nearly scored for the team.
 
Dani Hessels led the Ducks (4-3 overall, 1-0 MAC Freedom) with two goals. Sarah Korczukowski, Gabi Moroney, Mackenzy Garden, and Makenna Quigley also scored. Goalkeepers Amanda Murnick and Emily Franco split the shutout.
 
The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 21, when they head to Lancaster Bible College for a 6 p.m. game.
