WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Nine Lycoming College men's lacrosse players found the scoreboard on Wednesday night, April 6, led by seniors
Owen Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) and
Dominick Massaro (Centereach, N.Y./Sachem North), who each notched hat tricks as Lycoming stormed past King's College, 16-7, in MAC Freedom action at UPMC Field.

Zimmerman ended the night with four goals, four assists, and five groundballs and Massaro finished with three goals and three groundballs. First-year
Joey Hoover (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) and junior
Rory Hines (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) scored twice, as Hines also added an assist. First-years
Sean Farrell (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic),
Brian Hulsey (Sherwood Forest, Md./Annapolis Area Christian), seniors
Brandon Waden (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta),
Michael Scarponi (Easton, Pa./Easton Area), and
Markus Sidwell (Glen Burnie, Md./Glen Burnie) all netted one goal.

Junior
Andrew Dede (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and first-year
Ryan Farrell (Swedesboro, N.J./Archmere Academy) led with eight groundballs each.
Ryan Farrell also won a season-high 15 faceoffs.

The Warriors (5-7 overall, 1-2 MAC Freedom) put up seven to the Monarchs' (0-10 overall, 0-3 MAC Freedom) three in the first quarter, with Massaro putting in two in the first five minutes of play. Hines found his first of the game just over a minute in. Sidwell scored off a clear attempt for the Warriors.
Sean Farrell's first goal of the season found the net after a groundball pickup from Zimmerman. Hoover scored his first of the night with 4:04 remaining in the quarter with Dede on the assist. Zimmerman scored with 14 seconds on the clock.

The Warriors ended the half up 10-5, with Zimmerman scoring his second goal with 8:28 left in the second. Scarponi's goal came just a minute later and Waden's goal a little over a minute after that.

Massaro completed his fifth hat trick of the season in the third quarter with 3:13 left. Hoover's second goal completed after Scarponi won a groundball to lead into the assist. Zimmerman completed his seventh hat trick on the season with 37 seconds remaining in the third on a man-up opportunity.

Zimmerman's final goal came with 9:20 in the fourth after a save by King's Matt Wall. Hines second goal came on man-up at 5:41, and Hulsey's first goal of the season rounded out the victory for the Warriors.

Alec Martin led the Monarchs with three goals and three groundballs.

Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) made six saves and collected two groundballs before being relieved by junior goalkeeper
Sean Sonnie (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson). Wall made 24 saves for the Monarchs.

The Warriors return to the field on Saturday, April 9, when they host FDU-Florham in a 1 p.m. MAC Freedom matchup at UPMC Field.
